Purchasing Office Assistant

Those who do not know the dynamics of a leading company in the construction sector will hardly fully understand the strategic value of a Purchasing Office Assistant.
To give you an idea, in a group like Guffanti, a buyer is that kind of profile capable on their own of making the difference between "a project" and "a great project."

We are therefore looking for a dynamic profile for our purchasing team, meaning someone who can quickly learn to read situations and make the most of them for the company.

Supported by the office manager, you will learn to plan purchases based on needs and business requirements. You will research, evaluate, and select new suppliers while always ensuring the best quality/price ratio, and you will carry out all necessary purchases to guarantee the supply of materials or services, avoiding interruptions to construction activity. This means that you will directly contact the chosen suppliers, negotiating with them the terms and conditions of the various supplies: quantities, prices, delivery times, and methods.

Now you understand a little better why it's not exactly a role like any other?

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE

It seems obvious to us that faced with a list of activities of this kind, the suitable profile must have strong organizational skills and complex problem-solving abilities. But also, that they stand out for precision and have a propensity for team work. By team, we mean both colleagues from different internal offices and external suppliers.

A high school diploma or a degree in a technical field represents for us the foundation on which to build a common path.

Oh, and don’t be fooled by that “assistant”: at Guffanti, we are always on the front line!

WHAT THE CONTRACT PROVIDES

The professional path we have designed for the Purchasing Office Assistant includes hiring through an apprenticeship or internship contract, and once inside, a process of mentoring and professional training aimed at thoroughly understanding the job, the tools, and the internal dynamics of the company division.

Having gained experience in this role, even in other sectors, is not essential, but certainly constitutes a plus. The same goes for a good knowledge of the English language. And speaking of pluses, remember dynamism. Because from our perspective at Guffanti, it is a quality that alone can replace many others.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

The workplace is at our headquarters in Guanzate (CO)
